Today was pretty low key. We slept in until the sun crept out from behind the trees and then rode into Banff for breakfast. Patty had Huevos Rancheros and I had the Mountain Lady...no kidding, that was what it was called. One egg, one pancake with huckleberry compote and some chorizo sausage.
After we did a couple of errands, we rode out to Two Jack Lake. I had wanted to camp there instead of Tunnel Mountain, but they were already full for our dates. Good thing...we would've been too far away from Banff and all of the services it provides. We might have had to cook for ourselves! Ha!
Two Jack Lake was a stunning color of torquoise in the sun. People were stand up paddle boarding and kayaking and it would have been a wonderful destination for a week or two of that.
With showers and laundry done, we headed into Banff for our last dinner at a place called The Park. We liked it a lot. I had a burger (sorry if you are getting tired of reading that's what I'm having...it's just I'm not getting tired of eating them!) and two Lone Tree ciders and Patty had a roasted chicken burger with a Red Caboose Amber and a Red Rock Ale. It was all good.
A word here about reservations...usually, I'm not a big fan...I hate that extra $10 fee they tack on to the cost of your campsite...but...the campgrounds here have been full, and it's the middle of the week! If you don't want to hear, "I'm sorry...we're full...,"make reservations.
I love that you always mention where and what you had to eat!
